How to know your System Type (32 Bit / 64 bit)

In the personal computing world, 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the type of central processing unit, operating system, driver, software program, etc. that utilizes that particular architecture. 32-bit hardware and software is often referred to as x86. 64-bit hardware and software is often referred to as x64.

While downloading software, we often get question such as 'which is your operation system; 32 bit or 64 bit?'. Here is your answer for that.

With simple two steps, I am going to show you, how to know which is your computer, 32 bit or 64 bit.

Step 1: Open my computer. On the left top side of the window you can see 'system properties' [as shown in the image]. Click on it.




Step 2: A new screen will appear. Under system heading, you can find your system type [as seen in the below image].
